You've washed ashore with nothing but your bare hands. Harvest trees for wood, sell what you gather at the shop to buy axes and pickaxes, then buy blueprints and build a fishing dock and a survival hut.

• E or Space Chop trees, mine rock, add materials to a blueprint and build
• F Plant the selected sapling or place the selected blueprint
• R at your own blueprint marker: take its materials back, then pick the blueprint up
• R twice at your own building: knock it down, and get its blueprint and half its materials back. Friends can help you build, but only you can take back or knock down what's yours (and only they can do it to theirs)
• X with a shovel: dig a path, or fill one back in
• E next to a duck picks it up into your arms · E or F puts it down
• Days and nights last 7 minutes each. Nights are dark: build lamp posts for light, or press E by the bed in your hut or cabin to sleep until morning
• E at a storage shed's door opens its 60 slots of storage
• E at the town hall's display case lets you put your best finds on show
• E at a mineshaft, lumber mill or farmland opens its store, which fills with stone and ore, wood or potatoes every 2 minutes
• A supermarket earns $200 every 2 minutes while you play your island, once a dug path runs from beside it to your farmland. E at its door shows whether it's open
• E at a berry bush picks berries · F with berries or fish selected eats one. Don't let your hunger bar run out!
• E on a fishing dock with a rod: cast, then press E again when the bobber dips. Now and then you'll hook a potato, the only way to get them until you build farmland
• Tab Open your pack · B Open the shop · M Music on or off
• T Trade items and coins with a friend on your island
• Tools and gear from the shop are used by themselves: they show as Gear at the end of your pack bar, with the uses they have left
• Mouse wheel Select a slot · drag to move items · right-click to split a stack
• With friends on your island, the board under the map ranks everyone by their coins
• Esc Leave your island for the website, or change the settings. Your progress is kept
